The agent changes: what needs to be re-verified?
Track 01 · Managers and Business Leads · English edition
What you will learn to do
link a modification to the controls it may affect.
Fictional pedagogical case: a premium services company is preparing to automate its refunds.
The course
After the pilot, the team adds a new documentary source. It contains commercial exceptions granted to certain clients. The model has not changed. However, the service can now propose different decisions.
A system modification is not limited to replacing the model. It can concern a source, an instruction, a permission, or the function that executes the action. The consequence of each change on the request workflow must be examined.
In our case, the new source may be useful. It may also contain an expired exception or text reserved for another scope. The manager must verify how an exception is selected and how its validity is established.
The test must not only confirm that the search finds a document. It must examine the selection of the applicable rule. What happens when the general policy and an exception appear to contradict each other? What does the system do if the validity date is missing?
The extent of the verifications depends on the change and its possible consequences. A few local tests may suffice for a limited modification. An extension of action capabilities may justify a broader review. The decision must be explained and recorded.
Your decision
The assistant receives a new source of exceptions and the right to send prepared emails. Propose four verifications before activation.
Formulate an answer before opening the answer key.
Open the reasoned answer key
Verify that the exception concerns the correct client and remains valid. Examine the handling of a conflict with the general policy. Test the choice of recipient and the confidentiality of the sent content. Finally, verify the handling of a new attempt after an uncertain sending result.
These tests target two different changes: the content used for deciding and a new external action. The controls already in place must also remain applicable after the modification.
Production to keep

Evaluation criterion
The verifications cover the effects of the modification.
